Tom was born on March 23, 1971 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Marilyn and the late Norval Hundertmark. Tom attended Humboldt High School and graduated in May 1990. Tom later attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and continued his education at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Tom graduated from Iowa State in 1994, with a degree in Ag Systems Technology. In 1995, Tom attended Missouri Auction School in St. Joseph, Missouri. On August 20, 1999, Tom married Stephani Foth of Livermore. Steph is a 1987 graduate of Twin Rivers, a 1991 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and in 1993 she earned her Masters of Education also from UNI. Steph is currently employed at Mease Elementary in Dakota City, Iowa, and the couple has two children; Cale and Evan. The family resides five miles north of Rutland, and they are members of the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
Tom is the youngest of four children. David, is a partner in the auction business; Bruce lives in Sioux City, Iowa; and Jane lives in San Francisco, California.
Tom keeps busy spending time with his family as well as being full-time auctioneer and farmer. He has many hobbies and interests; some of which including riding motorcycles, collecting John Deere memorabilia, refurnishing and collecting antiques, and NASCAR.
Tom says his favorite part of the auction business is that it is always changing. “Hundertmark Auction is special because it is more like a family than a business.” Tom concluded.
